Geraint is a highly acclaimed Professor in the School of Applied Sciences of Edinburgh Napier University and Lead Academic at the Mountain Bike Centre of Scotland (MTBCOS). He is Associate Editor of the Journal of Science and Cycling. G has been working with athletes since 2003.
A former world cup xc mountain bike racer, Lesley is a Program Leader - MSc Sport Performance Enhancement at ENU. Her research interests include sleep and the immune system. Lesley has worked with numerous athletes over the year and recently trained Mark Beaumont for his round the world record breaking solo bike ride.
BSc(Hons) PhD. I studied both of my degrees at Edinburgh Napier University; undergraduate 2010-2014 and PhD (title: Performance in enduro mountain biking: the influence of training status, recovery, and vibration) 2016-2019.
Research Assistant with experience in physiology, immunology, and vibration research with a particular interest in tying these together via mountain biking.
Currently working on commercial and academic research projects, including the ERASMUS+ funded DIRTT project.
Mark is a keen cyclist and has conceived and build up the DataBike which is an instrumented bike he uses to investigate the road surfaces encountered in commuting. He has more recently hooked up with his sport science colleagues at Edinburgh Napier to investigate the impact of vibration in mountain biking.
