 South of Scotland Cycling Partnership (SOSCP), Edinburgh Napier University (ENU) and Mountain Bike Centre Scotland, in partnership with Cycling Industries Europe (CIE),hosted a conference featuring a number of inspiring sessions:


  • Data Session - the state of the industry – opportunities and challenges, hosted by Host Kevin Mayne Chief Executive Officer, Cycling Industries Europe

  1. Overview of global cycling & overview of European cycling: Marc Anderman Sporting Insights  
  2. UK situation & MDS data: Tom Payton Bicycle Association of Great Britain 
  3. Case studies of countries / examples where change is happening or happened: Prof Christof Backhaus Edinburgh Napier University 


  • Edinburgh Napier University Showcase hosted by Prof Geraint Florida-James Lead Academic Mountain Bike Centre Scotland 

  1. Wearable Sensors Dr Libu Manjakkal Lecturer, School of Computing and Engineering and the Built Environment
